At Diversity Charter Sweden's annual meeting on 31 March, the following were elected Petra Karmteg unanimously elected our new President. In connection with the annual meeting, several new members and alternates were also elected to the board.
- Diversity and inclusion are about business benefits, which is why we are active members of Diversity Charter Sweden. That diversified workplaces lead to increased innovation and profitability is not new, but unfortunately there are still many who need to catch up. Diversity Charter offers exactly what is needed - knowledge and experience sharing between companies and organisations and also an international perspective that is so important for large parts of the Swedish business community, says Petra Karmteg COO at DNB Sweden. And newly appointed chair of the Diversity Charter Sweden.
The Diversity Charter has been part of the European Commission's work since 2010, and there are over 15 400 members across Europe with over 17 million employees. The members work actively in the field of diversity and inclusion in their companies and in the labour market.
- "I hope that the business community in general and not least my own industry, the financial sector, can be involved in the work of Diversity Charter Sweden. At DNB, we have a great commitment to diversity and inclusion, and together with Diversity Charter Sweden we want to act as an inspiration and share knowledge with the companies that, like us, focus on driving this important issue," says Petra.
Sedan Anna Carlsson Sigstedt became Secretary General of Diversity Charter Sweden in 2019, the organisation has grown in size both in Sweden and across Europe.
- We are by far the strongest and largest network in the field of diversity and inclusion in Europe, and with it inspiration, networks and the latest research and experiences in the field, knowledge you simply cannot afford to miss, concludes Anna.
