What are Next Level workshops?
We want to offer our members a forum to exchange experiences at a deeper level in order to increase the impact and business value of inclusion work in their respective organisations. We want to do this by offering so-called Next Level Workshops, where 4-5 companies meet regularly to exchange experiences and receive professional support from an inclusion expert in taking their work to the next level and creating increased impact and change in the organisation. Details of the workshop programme below.
The purpose of the Next Level Workshops?
Increase the impact and operational value of inclusion work in each member organisation.
Why do we offer our members Next Level workshops?
Diversity Charters wants to offer knowledge and experience exchange to its member organisations, and similar workshops have been done before, then called Peer Reviews. These received very positive feedback from the member organisations that participated, and we now want to offer our members a similar opportunity with a sharpened approach.
Who is the target group?
Diversity Charter Sweden's member organisation that wants a deeper exchange with other member organisations to take the work to the next level, get concrete tips on what can accelerate change in their organisation. We believe that it is people in leading positions who participate. NOTE! You must be two people from your organisation to participate.
How do Next Level workshops work?
The member organisations that register before 30 September will be invited to a kick-off in autumn 2023, and then participate in monthly meetings in spring 2024. Registered companies will be divided into relevant groups and the discussions will be facilitated by an experienced inclusion expert. The meetings will focus on exchanging experiences and knowledge of inclusion work in a safe and close way, and together create practical tips to increase the impact and business value of inclusion work.
A Next Level group consists of about four or five organisations, with the same two people from each organisation attending each session.
Time period
Overall, the programme runs from November 2023 to June 2024.
- Nov 2023: Start-up meeting with all groups.
- Jan-May 2024: Four meetings per group, with participants taking turns "hosting" a meeting and inviting their group members to their respective offices.
- June 2024: A final meeting with all groups.
Each meeting is about 2 hours and revolves around a specific theme that the organisation responsible for the meeting presents and runs together with a professional facilitator, who supports the group in running the discussion, allocating time and speaking space to make the meetings relevant to all participants/organisations. The meetings are thus intended to be held physically, but can be held digitally if necessary.
Facilitation
The meetings are facilitated by an inclusion and change expert. Johanna Kropp, who has about 20 years of experience in driving culture, leadership, change and inclusion work in large and medium-sized companies in most industries (and has worked with several of our member organisations). Johanna is used to facilitating new groups to create valuable conversations that are relevant to all participants, and can also challenge and support the group to come to useful insights.
What is required of you?
You need to host a meeting, where you offer simple refreshments and have a room that can accommodate around 15 people with a good possibility to participate by link. You prepare a topic where you have a challenge and want input from the others in the group. You take notes (based on a template) during your meeting and share them with the others in the group after the meeting.
How are groups organised?
One request from the association's members is to create the groups based on the size of the member organisations and their location in the country (e.g. Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö).
Secretary General of Diversity Charter Sweden Anna Carlsson Sigstedt, representative from the Management Board Ulrika Wikberg HR Manager Beijer Bygg AB and Stefan Kulhanek CEO Axians, and facilitator Johanna Kropp make a joint grouping to create the best possible groups based on size, location in the country, sector and/or D&I needs.
OBS!
There needs to be a group of at least four organisations with two people from each organisation to run Next Level.
