Theme - inward investment as a driver for skills supply
The theme of the members' meeting builds on the Friday Knowledge on 27 March, where we highlight inclusion. If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the Friday Knowledge, you can watch it at any time in The knowledge bank.
Attracting and retaining the right skills is a key challenge for employers - while many young people are outside the labour market without clear pathways into it. Inclusion is about belonging: being listened to, being able to contribute and feeling part of a community. For employers, this is closely linked to how organisations recruit, manage and create inclusive environments.
At the same time, conditions are shaped early on, and the path into the labour market looks different for different young people. Therefore, inclusion also needs to be about opening doors. When people are excluded, it affects the individual, the supply of skills and the development of society.
