Friday Knowledge - How good are employers at including religious employees in a secularised society and working life?

Sweden is considered one of the most secularised countries in the world, where faith is a private matter. This is also reflected in working life. How does it affect practising religious people, their sense of inclusion and the employer's ability to unlock the full potential of all employees? How much can and should employers adapt the workplace for different religious expressions?

Participating speakers: 

Ahmed Abdirahman - Founder and CEO of Järva Week and The Global Village Foundation. Among other things, he is a member of the Nordic Council of Ministers' expert group on integration and was previously an expert in business policy on social sustainability at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

Anna Nachman, Funeral Director at Jewish community and orthodox rabbi's wife. She is a Polish-Swedish journalist and commentator. Former columnist at Aftonbladet and Dagens Samhälle. Anna is a liberal commentator.

Fadi Barakat, Vice-President Red Cross Sweden. He has many years' experience of leading and training Sweden's leading organisations in diversity and inclusion issues. Twice named one of Sweden's best managers in the field of diversity, among other things.
