Diversity Month 2026: Inclusive labour market for all

Engaging employees and management during EU Diversity Month
#EUDiversityMonth
The European Diversity Month is organised by the European Commission through the European Platform of Diversity Charters. Diversity Charter Sweden is Sweden's Diversity Charter and participates together with our member organisations in the joint European initiative.
The main objective of the European Diversity Month is to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in society by bringing together different stakeholders - diversity charities, small and large employers, private companies, public organisations and non-profit associations - around a common goal.
Focus 2026: Inclusive labour market for all
Despite strong legislation, discrimination in the workplace remains widespread in Europe. The EU Diversity Month 2026 therefore focuses on inclusive labour markets for all. Fair and skills-based recruitment is crucial for equal treatment, enhanced trust and a sustainable and competitive labour market.
What can you do in your workplace?
Promoting diversity and creating inclusive workplaces is an ongoing endeavour, but participating in European Diversity Month is a great way to show others what you do and what you stand for. Examples of activities you can do:
- Get involved by organising internal events for or with your staff.
- Organising open events for the public, customers or suppliers.
- Write a column, an opinion piece or make a statement.
- Use social media to spread your message.
