Diversity Charter Sweden’s Basic Training in Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

Take this opportunity to attend our full-day training course, which has been developed exclusively for members of Diversity Charter Sweden and will provide you with the basics of how to work practically with diversity, equality and inclusion in your workplace.

During the course, we will cover, amongst other things, the basics of the Discrimination Act and what preventative measures Swedish employers must. The importance of taking a a holistic approach to its change management and that define why You will be working on diversity, equality and inclusion. And much more besides! Throughout the course, there will also be opportunities for reflection, dialogue and small-group discussions. To ensure you can easily carry on with this work after the course, we link all the modules to The knowledge bank.

 

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Basic concepts.
  • An overview of the Discrimination Act and its link to work on diversity, equality and inclusion.
  • Business and operational reasons for prioritising diversity, equality and inclusion.
  • What unconscious bias is and how you can minimise its negative impact.
  • How to create and maintain an inclusive culture in the workplace.
  • What characterises an inclusive recruitment process.
  • What characterises an inclusive physical and digital working environment.

 

The course is aimed at:

Anyone who would like to learn more, or refresh their knowledge, about practical approaches to diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace.

Knowledge Bank:

During the training programme, we use Diversity Charter Sweden’s Knowledge bank, so before the course starts, you’ll need to create an account and double-check that you can log in.

Diploma:

Once you have completed the course, you will receive a digital certificate – for social media – confirming that you have taken our course.

Scope: 1 day, 10.00–16.00

Price: 5,500 SEK, VAT-free as we are a charity; lunch and refreshments are included

Course leader: Gabriella Fägerlind is Diversity Charter Sweden’s DEI adviser and the creator of the Knowledge Bank. She has over 25 years’ experience of helping private and public sector employers translate research into practical equality and diversity initiatives. Gabriella Fägerlind is also the author of Diversity in Practice – A Handbook for Inclusive Workplaces.

Who can participate? People whose employers are members of the Diversity Charter, up to two per member organisation, as we wish to gather a range of perspectives.

Limited number of places:  Places on this course are limited – first come, first served!
