DESCRIPTION:Den 8 april är det Romernas internationella dag\, också känd som den romska nationaldagen. Dagen hedrar minnet av den första romska kongressen som hölls i London år 1971\, då den Internationella zigenarkommittén omvandlades till International Romani Union (IRU). Romerna är inte kopplade till ett specifikt land\, utan är spridda över hela världen. SUMMARY:The Award ceremony - The European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating inclusion and diversity champions\nEmbracing inclusion and diversity in our towns\, cities\, regions helps us build safe spaces for all Europeans\, allowing everyone to reach their full potential. \nVice-President Jourová and Commissioner Dalli join us on 25 April to announce the nine winners of this year’s European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award. Six local authorities will take home prizes in the general categories. Three will be awarded prizes for their work in this year’s special category dedicated to local authorities enabling safe towns\, cities and regions for women in all their diversity\, by addressing violence against women. \nSwedish participant – Växjö has the opportunity to win an award as the EU’s Diversity Capital. They are nominating for their work to promote older LGBTQI+ people and for having instituted a diversity award. \n \nThe award ceremony is part of the opening ceremony of Diversity Month.
