It is always possible to reverse the trend if the will is there. I am happy to live in a society that condemns racism. But we should not stop there. The motto of the European Union is \u201dunited in diversity\u201d. We have a duty to live up to our motto and to give it meaning.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) has carried out a wide range of studies showing that there is widespread discrimination in the EU, as well as the areas of life in which racial discrimination is most evident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Discrimination in the labour market occurs not only when people are looking for work, but also in the workplace, where 22 % of respondents felt discriminated against because of their ethnic or immigrant background.<br \/>\nSource: FRA (2017a), Second European Union Minorities and Discrimination Survey - main results.<\/p>\n<p>At today's Fredagskunskap, we will be talking about the European Commission's Action Plan against Racism 2020-2025.
