The award celebrates cities and regions that promote inclusion, equality, and belonging among their residents.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The initiative highlights how local action is essential to building a Union of Equality and recognises towns, cities, and regions that lead by example in creating inclusive and diverse communities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are two main categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under 50,000 inhabitants<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over 50,000 inhabitants<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">In 2026, there will also be a Special Award for local authorities promoting inclusive labour markets for all, regardless of population size.<\/p>\n<p>All EU Member State local authorities, towns, cities, and regions can apply.
