One of them is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/gabriella-wiiala-87b86023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gabriella Wiiala<\/a>, During her time as Chair (2018-2023), she played a key role in strengthening the structure, professionalisation and long-term sustainability of the organisation. <\/span>Her term as President was characterised by both strategic progress and major changes, not least as a result of the pandemic.<\/p><h2 aria-level=\"3\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Building on and taking the next step<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;134245418&quot;:true,&quot;134245529&quot;:true,&quot;335559738&quot;:281,&quot;335559739&quot;:281}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">For Gabriella, one of the most significant achievements was establishing an office through the recruitment of the organisation's first Secretary General.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><em>- The fact that we recruited a Secretary General and were thus able to start an office was crucial for Chartret's continued development. And the fact that we managed to recruit Anna Carlsson Sigstedt feels fantastic - the right person in the right place.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Turning a declining membership trend into growth was another key success. The increasing membership of member companies was proof that the organisation's work was becoming increasingly relevant.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Gabriella also sees the development of the Friday knowledge sessions - from physical meetings to a more accessible digital format - as key to increasing reach and participation.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2 aria-level=\"3\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Changes that challenged the organisation<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;134245418&quot;:true,&quot;134245529&quot;:true,&quot;335559738&quot;:281,&quot;335559739&quot;:281}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2><p data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1788\">The period as chairman was also very challenging. Many changes had to be implemented in a short period of time, while the members of the Board worked in parallel with their regular jobs.<\/p><p data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"1935\"><em>- \"There were a lot of changes in a few years, and we on the Board worked a lot with Chartert alongside our regular roles,\" says Gabriella.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"2144\">The pandemic brought additional difficulties but also created new opportunities.<\/p><p><em>- We needed to find new ways of working together and getting things done.
